Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on 18 November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. A year later Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she defended the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
