Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. The youngest winner of the 200-meter race during the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, by beating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed at the top of the podium throughout her events in the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
