Mary McDonnell

 Mary Eileen McDonnell, born April 28th 1952, is an American actress on stage, television, and film. McDonnell was nominated in the Academy Award for her roles in Dances with Wolves as Stands With A Finger and Passion Fish as May-Alice Culhane. McDonnell is best known for her roles in Battlestar Galactica as President Laura Roslin and First Lady Marilyn Whitmore, and Rose in Donnie Darko. McDonnell was the Captain Sharon Raydor on seasons 5-7 of TNT's series The Closer. She also starred in Major Crimes, the spin-off series that airs on TNT's network, as the Commander Sharon Raydor.
